Abstract

939,648. Cartons. UNIPAK CARTONS Ltd. Jan. 29, 1962 [Dec. 4, 1961], No. 3318/62. Addition to 896,716. Class 18. The collapsible carton described in the main Specification has the carton body 31-36, the longitudinal and lateral partitions 2, 22, and the retractable handle 4 all made from a single blank, Fig. 1, in which the shaded portions are coated with pressure sensitive adhesive. End tabs 6, 4 are first folded over and secured to handle panel 4 and panel 1 folded at line 5 and secured to panel 2. The handle is then depressed so that its upper edge is substantially coincident with the upper edge of the partition 2, the wings 12 folding as shown in Fig. 5. The blank is then folded along line 52 and again along lines 56 and 57 and pressed to secure adhesion of the coated portions. Upon erecting the folded blank the carton shown in Fig. 5 is obtained as described in the main Specification. In a modification the lateral partitions 22 are omitted.
