Abstract

926,874. Carrier cartons. JOHN WADDINGTON Ltd., and W. T. HORRY. Nov. 26, 1959 [Aug. 26, 1958], No. 27272/58. Class 18. A carrier carton constructed from a blank formed with two side panels 1, two end panels 2 and a glueing strip 3 to secure the carton together, comprises extensions 12 of the panels 1 to form a handle 14 when adhered together and straps 10 formed by slits 8 and connected to the panels 1 by fold lines 11 so that on erection of the carton the straps 10 define at least three compartments on each side of the handle 14. To form the collapsed carton shown in Fig. 2 bottom closure flaps 4 are folded on to panels 1, 2, one extension 12 is folded to overlie the other and glued thereto and to the end panels 2 and the strip 3 is secured to one end panel 2. To erect the carton the collapsed carton is pressed in the direction of the arrows A, Fig. 2, and the flaps 4 automatically interlock.
