Abstract

843,718. Folding cartons. UNIPAK CARTONS Ltd. March 4, 1958 [Jan. 22, 1958], No. 6980/58. Class 18. A partitioned carton is formed from a onepiece blank having side panels 1, 2 end panels 3, 4 and further panels 40, 14 which form and secure respectively the partitions. To erect the carton, panel 40 is folded at 20 and a tab 15 is folded on to the panel 14. Panels 40, 14 are folded along line 50 and a tab 32 is secured by a strip of pressure sensitive adhesive 11 and the upper portion 28, Fig. 1, is secured to an adhesive strip 12. Panels 2 and 4 are folded to overlie panels 1 and 3. An adhesive area 10 is secured to a similar area of panel 14 and an adhesive strip 13 is secured to the lower part 28, Fig. 1. Bottom closure parts 7, 8 are secured by glue, tape, or staples and top closure parts 5, 6 are secured by adhesive or tape extending over marginal edges of the parts 6. Alternatively, the carton can have an open top.
