Abstract

617,575. Boxes. ROBINSON, Ltd., E. S. & A., ROBINSON, P. N., and ELLIS, H. G. Oct, 7, 1946. No. 29920 [Class 18] A display box has a bottom closing flap D<1> formed with tongues D<4> slidably engaging longitudinal slits E in adjacent closing flaps A<1>, B<1>, whereby the flap D<1> may be slid from the bottom closing position to form a stand for tilting the box. The box is formed from two blanks, one, comprising the rear wall D, lid D<2> and closing flap D<1>, being secured by staples to walls A, B of the other blank. In closing the box bottom, flaps A<1>, B<1> are folded on a flap C<1>, extending from the front wall C of the box, and are locked by tongues G engaging slits F. The tongues D4 of the flap D<1> are engaged in the slits E to complete the closure. The flap D<1> has transverse scoring causing it to form a wedge-shaped stand when the tongues D4 are slid rearwards. The lid D2 may have a cut-out D7 erected for display purposes by folding the lid on a medial score line.
