Abstract
1,197,179. Trays. SHIRLEY & WARBEY BOX CO. Ltd. 6 Oct., 1967 [23 Nov., 1966], No. 52499/66. Heading B8P. A tray is erected from a blank having a bottom panel 2, Fig. 7, with a glue flap 11 stuck to the inside of an opposite outer side wall 8, and a continuous top frame 4 from which are cut inner side wall panels 10 secured by flaps 13 to the base panel 7. In the erected tray, the panels 8, 10 form tubular walls, Fig. 3. Outer and inner end wall panels 14, 16, Fig. 7, are folded-in to form tubular end walls, Fig. 6, with glue flaps 17 secured to the inside of the top frame 4 and panels 18 resting on the base 2. Gusset panels 22 join the wall panels 8, 14. Tabs 20 on the hinge line between the panels 16, 18 are engaged by the edges of tucked-in base flaps 12, to hold the tray erect. The tray is supplied in flat form, Figs. 1, 2 (not shown), with the glue flaps secured, and is then erected by folding.
