Abstract

616,435. Opening boxes by tearing. SATONA, Ltd., SPINK, G., and HORRY, W. T. Aug. 31, 1946, No. 26268. [Classes 18 and 66] A box or carton comprises a blank scored to form a base 1, sides 2 and ends 3, the sides and ends being joined by portions 4 which fold inside the erected carton. A lid is formed by an extension of a side 2 and has a flap adapted to be secured to the opposite side 2. A tear-off strip 8 is provided by perforations across the lid, a tab 9 being formed at one end of the strip. The ends 3 may have tuck-in flaps 10.
