955,118. Cartons. PROCTER & GAMBLE Ltd. June 21, 1961 [June 22, 1960], No. 22522/61. Headings B8C and B8P. A lined tubular carton is formed from a blank, Fig. 1, comprising an inner liner 10 creased at 16... 19 and superposed upon a rectangular outer wrapper 31, an opening tab 33 of the liner projecting beyond the wrapper. The blank is folded on the crease 19 so that the panel 15 lies upon the panel 14, then panel 12 is folded about the crease 17 and the corners 35, 36 sealed to form a collapsed tubular carton, Fig. 3. In use, this is squared up, the article to be packaged inserted through an open end, the ends 38, 39 tucked in and the flaps 40, 41 folded over and sealed. In a modification, the outer wrapper is slotted and the opening tab extends into the slot instead of extending beyond the end of the outer wrapper. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 876,757.
