Abstract

1338689 Cartons TAYLOWE Ltd 6 Nov 1972 [5 Nov 1971] 51552/71 Heading B8P A sealed carton having weakened lines whereby it is opened has a lid-forming portion convertible into a reclosable lid. A cardboard blank which may have a liner is sealed to form a tubular carton and has slits or weakened lines 11, 11a, 12 to form a hinged portion when opened. Crease lines 14, 14a enable gusset portions 15 to be pressed into the lid after opening the carton to form a double layer skirted lid that will frictionally engage the carton body. A tab 20 can form a dust flap or be folded outwardly to provide additional frictional grip for the lid.
