Abstract

932,669. Folding boxes. WILLIAM W. CLELAND Ltd., and A. A. BUCHMAN. Oct. 6, 1961 [Oct. 5, 1960], No. 34093/60. Class 18. A blank as shown in Fig. 1 is folded to form a tubular carton comprising self locking end closure flaps 7, 8, 9 and 10. To close the end of the box trapezium shaped flaps 7, 9 overlie flaps 8, 10 and all the flaps are pressed into the box, they are then allowed to spring back until lugs 13 engage in slits 14 thus producing an inturned pyramidal closure which may be truncated for supporting the contents as shown in Fig. 5. When the cartons are made pyramidal they can be nested when empty.
