Abstract

895,072. Display cartons; packages. SKARSTEDT A.B., ROBERT. Dec. 1, 1958 No. 38639/58. Classes 18 and 94(1). A display carton for drinking glasses is produced from a blank, Fig. 1, which comprises a bottom area 1 and side wall areas 2 provided with a number of partially punched out flaps 3 integral with the areas 2 along a fold line C and which are shaped so that when they are tucked into the glasses they leave openings in the side walls through which the glasses project. The glasses 7 are placed on the bottom area 1, end portions 4 of the side wall areas 2 are placed together and the flaps 3 are inserted in the glasses 7 to hold them firmly in place. Side portions 8 of the flaps 3 are foldable about a line E to facilitate the insertion of the flaps in the glasses. A handle 6 is provided. When the cartons are to be packed in a container the end portions 4 are folded down the outer side of the glasses 7, Fig. 4.
