Abstract

921,524. Cartons for granular or powdered material. CHAMBON Ltd. Feb. 27, 1961 [Feb. 29, 1960], No. 7016/60. Class 18. A carton formed from the blank shown in Fig. 1 and having apertures 33, 34 which are co-incident when the blank is folded to form a carton has an extension 35 on an end wall 30 which in the assembled carton lies between flaps 18, 19 and forms a closure for the apertures. A tab 39 enables the extension to be partly pulled out so that an aperture 37 in the extension coincides with the apertures 33, 34. If the extension 35 is continued further, an aperture 44 of the same shape and size as apertures 33, 34 may be provided. A flap 42 may be provided on flap 18 and is stuck to the outside of portion 32. A slit 40 between end wall 30 and portion 28 ensures a resilient connection between the wall 30 and the extension 35.
