Abstract

898,041. Cartons. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. Sept. 19, 1960 [Nov. 17, 1959], No. 38987/59. Class 18. A carton is formed from the blank shown in Fig. 1. Each inner closure flap 8 has a slit 10, a portion of which is of arcuate form to consitute a tongue 12. Each outer closure flap 9 has a tongue 14 with a slit 15 which defines a cover tab. The blank is folded into a rectangular tube by fixing panel 4 to panel 5. To close the ends of the tube the flaps 6, 7 are infolded as in Fig. 2. Inner closure flap 8 is folded in an arcuate manner (Fig. 2). Flap 9 is then folded to overlie flap 8 so that tongue 14 enters slit 10, and tongue 12 is inserted through slit 15.
