898,609. Cartons. WADDINGTON Ltd., JOHN, and BICKERDIKE, D. Dec. 7, 1959 [Dec. 10, 1958], No. 39915/58. Class 18. A carton in which glue flap 19 and wall panel 18 are superposed has a part of the outer layer, e.g. defined by slits 28 and crease lines 29, superposed upon but larger than a part of the inner layer, e.g. defined by cut 27, so that when the former part is pulled away it takes with it the latter part to form a pouring aperture 36 partially rimmed as at 37 by material from the inner layer situated between the aperture edge and the edge of the outer layer (wall panel 18). The embodiment drawn in Figs. 1 and 3 is a peak-roof carton, but a similar pouring aperture may be formed in a plain carton. Specification 529,201 is referred to.
