939,166. Cartons. PEMBROKE CARTON & PRINTING CO. Ltd. Oct. 5, 1961 [Oct. 5, 1960], No. 34208/60. Class 18. A lidded carton is formed from a one-piece blank (or of two parts glued together) as in Fig. 5, sides 13, 14 and 32, 36 being joined together by gusset folds 21, 37 respectively. The carton is erected from this flat position by raising the sides of the tray 11 and lid 10 at right angles to their central panels 30, 12 respectively. Extensions 24, 33 are folded over inside walls 14, 32 so that flaps 27, 35 lie against central panels 12, 30 and extensions 26, 34 fit into respective slots 19, 40 formed by folding over flaps 17 cut away at 19. Hole 27 in flaps 14, 24 provides a finger grip for opening. To close the box from the position in Fig. 6. Gusset panels 47 are bent to overlie similar panels 50 and both made to lie against the carton end forming panel 31. In a modification both the tray and lid have panels corresponding to panel 31 and are connected by a further extension panel located between them.
