959,208. Cartons. SMITH & YOUNG Ltd Nov. 1, 1961 [Jan. 20, 1961], No. 2412/61. Heading B8P. A blank for a fold-flat carton is formed from the cut and scored card of Fig. 1 by folding tc the configuration of Fig. 2 and gluing to the side walls 5 the triangular portions 9 (Fig. 1) of webs 10 joining the end walls 3 and the side walls 5. The carton is erected by raising the side walls 3 so that the webs 10 fold about the scores 8, and is then secured by folding successively the top flaps 6, 4, 4, 7, the latter three of which are glued. Further webs 17, 18 (Fig. 6) may be provided to reinforce the corners of the box and the order of folding of the top flaps may differ The box, which may serve to hold a stack of currency notes, has inspection holes 12. The top flaps may be of a size to permit a single security seal to be impressed on all of them.
