Abstract

732,682. Cartons. VIVIAN, G. S. July 28, 1953 [June 10, 1952], No. 14604/52. Class 18. A carton in which one of the side walls is adapted to be folded outwardly to form a pouring spout is formed from a blank, scored on the lines 10 to 13 to provide four sides and a sealing tab 18, and on lines 20 to 23, 24 to 27, and 19, to form the top closure, a sealing flap 28 being folded over part of the closure away from the spout position. The flaps 14a to 17a form the bottom. Creasing lines 31 and 32 form the spout portion, the spout being formed by sliding the closure clip 29 away from the side wall 15 and bending back the corners 33, 34. A further set of creasing lines 35, 36 are provided and by moving the clip 29 the size of the spout is reduced.
