Abstract

651,739. Boxes. FILMER, Ltd., R. H., and KIRBY, M. J. Feb. 19, 1948, No. 4967. [Class 18] A box is erected from a one piece blank of cardboard and comprises two ends 6, 7 and two sides 8, 9 adapted to fold up from a base 5. Corner portions 10-13 positioned between the ends and sides are provided with diagonal scores 14-17 which extend to the edge of the blank or to slits 18 formed in the corner portions so that when the sides and ends are folded up the corner portions fold about the scores 14-17 and lie against the ends to which they are secured. Flaps 21 provided on the ends 6, 7 form the top of the box or fold inwardly against the inside of the ends. An extension 28 is provided on at least one corner portion. Additional flaps 25 may extend from the portions 10-13 and also fold inwardly against the ends. Extensions 29 may be provided on the flaps 25.
