Abstract

316,451. Booth, W. R. Aug. 23, 1928. Folding boxes; lids. - In a folding or collapsable box formed from a single blank having diagonallycreased corner extensions R of the sides D stapled to the front F and back B and an integral flanged lid, the lid L is secured in the closed condition, with the side flaps F<1> within the box, by inserting the front flap G within a three-quarter moon-shaped incision M in the front of the box and its corners within additional slits H. The incision M is formed with a perforation P at each terminal to hold a string for tying up the box. The flaps F of the lid are cut away at the corners E to clear the folder corner extensions when the lid is closed down.
