Abstract

214,321. Shirley, F. J. Jan. 16, 1923. Folding boxes. - The lid 10 of a folding cardboard or like box, which has a flap 16 cut from the top 14 and adapted to lie upon and be locked with the closed lid, as described in Specification 162,598, is creased between its hinged and free edges so that it can be folded back upon itself for display purposes. The flap 16 may have an extension cut from the front wall 13 and may also be used to display advertisements. The lid 10 is provided with tongues 20 which engage, in the display position, slots in the apertured top 14. Specification 201,655 also is referred to.
