Abstract

340,196. Display boxes. SCOTTISH CO-OPERATIVE WHOLESALE SOCIETY, Ltd., and RENNIE, W., 95, Morrison Street, Glasgow. April 28, 1930, No. 12953. [Class 18.] A display box is formed from the blank shown in Fig. 1 by first folding the sides 6, 7, ends 9 and top 10 into position, the top being held by tucking a flap 10a behind a supporting piece 13, Fig. 2, after which additional end flaps 8 are folded up and their edges 15 tucked beneath the ends of the top 10. The lid proper, 16a, is cut out of the cover 10 and creased to bend on a line g, h. In the closed position a flap 12 engages behind the front of the box and in the display position shoulders d on the lid engage either with tongues 17 cut from the flaps 15 or with shoulders 10c on the cover. When a curved configuration l of the lid is adopted a backing piece 11 is employed. The part 13 may be omitted.
