Abstract
891,964. Cartons. G. O. EQUIPMENT Ltd. Jan. 14, 1959 [Jan. 15, 1958], No. 1469/58. Class 18. The carton shown in Fig. 2 having a hinge line 11 is formed from the blank shown in Fig. 1. by folding the flaps 16, 17 at the right hand end of the blank to meet the crease line 20 and folding flaps 12, 13 at the left hand end to meet the same line 20. Similar folding is performed on the flaps 12, 13 and 16, 17 on the lower part of the blank. The partly folded blank is then bent along creases 11, thereby opening a slit 10 along the centre of the blank and forming the carton shown in Fig. 2. Flaps 23, 26 are folded down and tongues 27 interlocked to form a bottom to the carton. A lid may be fitted to the open end of the box. Other constructions, including a box with four rectangular compartments and another with six triangular compartments are described.
