867,444. Carton blanks. LEHNER-STIRNEMANN, M. Oct. 17, 1958 [Oct. 18, 1957; Feb. 1, 1958; June 30, 1958], No. 33192/58. Class 18. The blank shown in Fig. 2 is folded to form the carton shown in Fig. 1 having bridge pieces 220 between the opposite sides 202 and partitions 260 connected to the bridge pieces by a crease line 217 and to the sides by portions 280 which fold on to the inside of the side walls 202. Tabs 204 cut adjacent a crease line 203 in the side walls lock the folded portions 280 in position. To prevent the base of the carton opening due to the weight of the contents, the slots in the portions 260 that engage extensions 241 of the base of the carton may be inclined 5 degrees to the right and left alternately. The boxes will stack conveniently.
