Abstract

836,123. Partitioned boxes. ROBINSON Ltd., E. S. & A. May 28, 1957 [April 24, 1956], No. 12534/56. Class 18. Internal partitioning means for boxes comprises a plurality of separate partition members 26 each having a base portion 30 integrally hinged to a flap portion 32 ; the base portions being fixed to a bottom panel 24 and the hinged flaps 32 having free outer ends. The base portions 30 may overlap as shown in Fig. 4. Flaps 32 may have cut-out portions for engaging the articles to be packed or slots 33 to engage additional partitions 34. The partition members 26 may be formed with one base portion 30 common to two flaps 32. The blank for the box and lid comprises a base panel 4 with side and end wall panels 6 and 8. The flaps 10 turned inside the walls 8 are held in position by flaps 12 and the lid 14 is formed by stapling the flaps 16 of the lid ends 18 to the lid side 20. The panel 24 may be fixed to the bottom or to the side or end walls of the carton.
