Abstract

1430388 Cartons DRG PACKAGING Ltd 14 June 1973 [16 June 1972] 28324/72 Heading B8P Two opposite side walls 16 of a carton carry inwardly extending panels 18 which are folded at 24 or flexed to provide unapertured, upwardly convergent portions and thereby form spaces between the walls 16 and panels 18, at least one of the side walls 16 being movable to facilitate insertion of the contents. Each panel 18 is extended along the bottom 10 so as to be held in place by the contents. In the embodiment of Fig. 6, the extension of one side panel 18 comprises two horizontal portions 50, 62 arranged to overlie the bottom 10, and intermediate portions 52-60 which are folded to form an upstanding partition. Other configurations of the panel extensions are given. The carton is provided with a lid. A second pair of opposite end walls may carry tabs which extend between the walls 16 and panels 28 to hold the carton erect.
