Abstract

1280673 Stackable cartons ASHTON CONTAINERS Ltd 1 April 1970 [9 April 1969] 18119/69 Heading B8P A carton folded from a blank of corrugated or solid fibreboard or of a plastics material has corner pieces 19 to facilitate stacking and end walls 13 stiffened by a fold-over flap 17 locked in position by tabs 18 engaging slots 11. If a corrugated blank is used the corrugations extend lengthwise of wall 13 and flap 17. The corner pieces 19 are hinged to extension panels 23 to which are hinged further panels 24. Panels 23 are of slightly greater depth than side walls 12 so that when erected the panels 23 abut the base 10 and support the corner pieces 19. Each corner connection comprises an end flap 14 lying against wall 13 and the flaps 23, 24 held in position by the adjacent end of one of the flaps 17.
