Abstract

1483616 Trays R-M C MANSVILLE 4 Oct 1974 [5 Oct 1973] 43188/74 Heading B8P A stackable tray, e.g. for fruit or vegetables comprises a base 4, side walls 10 and end walls 5, the end walls being of double-thickness 6, 8, and flaps 11 being provided on the side walls 10 for defining means 15 facilitating stacking alignment. When folded from a blank 1 preferably of corrugated cardboard, the flaps 11 may be glued to the outer surface of end wall panels 6, the flaps 11 having a curved profile resulting in projecting portions 15a, 15b with define the means 15 for receiving a similar tray for stacking. Openings 17 allow for ventilation, portions 18 being optionally cut from the walls 10 for the same purpose. The panels 6, 8 defining the end walls may be joined at a scored fold line, or by bridge portions (110), Fig. 6 (not shown) separated by slots.
