Abstract

1,009,150. Boxes and lids. TILLOSTONS (LIVERPOOL) Ltd. Aug. 14, 1964 [Aug. 15, 1963], No. 32230/63. Heading B8P. A cardboard or like blank as shown in Fig. 1, having lugs 10 incised from the ends of opposite flanges 8 and short triangular wings 11 hinged to the ends of inner wall panels 7, is folded to produce a hollow walled box or lid. The inner panels 6 and 7 of the walls are slightly narrower than the outer wall panels 4 and 5 and thus lie perpendicular to the main panel 1 or substantially so, whilst the outer panels 4, 5 are inclined to the main panel 1. The flanges 8 are outwardly directed and thus lie within the hollow walls 4, 6 whilst the lugs 10 are inwardly directed and lie beneath the inwardly directed flanges 9 of walls 5, 7. The triangular wings 11 lie behind the inner wall panels 6 of the walls 4, 6. Flaps 12 are enclosed between walls 5, 7.
