A carton of tray-like form folded from the blank shown in Fig. 1 has portiors 23 that project inwards from two opposite side walls to support the lid. As shown in Fig. 6, the portion 23 may be reinforced by another portion 23a or, alternatively, several short portions 23a may be spaced along a wall of the carton. In a further embodiment, the portions 23 may extend from opposite sides of the carton and interlock to form a partition. The lid may be hinged to one wall of the box or may be a separate lid. If the carton is small in width a single portion 23 may be provided extending the entire width, or almost the entire width, of the box. Specifications 355,560, 436,611 and 519,456 are referred to.
