A collapsible cardboard or like box has four walls, two opposite walls of which each have a a medial fold line so that when the box is collapsed part of each said wall lies in a plane with an adjacent wall and the other part of each said wall lies in a plane with another adjacent wall, both of said adjacent walls being extended to form bottom closure panels which interlock as by a tongue and slot and are folded inside the wall panels when the box is in the collapsed position.
