Abstract

1,096,673. Collapsible boxes. NEW MERTON BOARD MILLS Ltd. Nov. 19, 1964 [Aug. 21, 1963], No. 33098/63. Heading B8P. A collapsible box has walls 2 each with bottom panels 3, 4, 5 attached thereto, one pair of opposite bottom panels 4, 5 having interlocking means comprising two opposed wedgeshaped slots 6 extending from opposite sides of the panel 4, and two tabs 7 extending from the panel 5. In order to lock the bottom, the flaps 3 are turned inwards against the side walls 2 and panels 4, 5 are pressed inwards till the tabs engage the slots and then the panels are pushed outward from inside the box.
