1,003,993. Flanged boxes or lids. TILLOTSONS (LIVERPOOL) Ltd. Aug. 14, 1964 [Aug. 15, 1963], No. 32229/63. Heading B8P. A cardboard or like blank, Fig. 1, has flangeforming strips 3 with projections 11 incised from the adjacent outer wall panel 8, and is is folded to produce a doubled side-wall box or lid flanged around its bottom edges. Flaps 7 are inturned to lie between outer wall panels 8 and inner wall panels 9 and hold the flange strips 3 close to the main panel 1 by their engagement of the projections 11 beneath them and against the panel 1. In preparing the blank for delivery to the packager, glue is applied to the flange strips 2 and the blank folded so that strips 2 adhere to areas 12 of the base.
