Abstract

1,036,734. Cartons. FIELD, SONS & CO. Ltd., and N. KAYE. June 5, 1963 [June 29, 1962], No. 25051/62. Addition to 927,238. Heading B8P. A cardboard box lid blank has tapered flanges 61 hinged to a lid panel 60 along inwardly bowed hinge lines 63 and tapered flanges 64 hinged to the panel 60 along straight hinge lines 65, so that when the blank is assembled the lid panel is of arched appearance and the flanges incline inwardly away from the lid panel. Fold-down strips 70, 71 strengthen the lid and flange interconnecting strips 72 are provided on the flanges 61 or 64, the strips being secured to their co-acting carton parts by a self-adhesive substance.
