Abstract

939,972. Cartons. BARNETT, ROSE & CO. Ltd., and J. ROSE. June 6, 1962 [June 26, 1961], No. 23087/61. Class 18. A cardboard drawer-and-shell carton comprises an outer sleeve 10 which is provided with slots 16, 17, and a tray 11 having end flaps 12, 13 which are hinged to the sleeve 10 by means of tongues 14, 15 which engage the slots 16, 17 respectively. The dimensions of the tray 11 are slightly smaller than those of the sleeve 10 so that the tray 11 can move within the sleeve 10 about the hinge axes of the tongues 14, 15. A small panel may be cut from each end flap 12, 13 to provide means for suspending the carton. The sleeve 10 or the upper side thereof may be of transparent material. Alternatively the sleeve and tray may both be made from a synthetic resin.
