Abstract

1440764 Stackable cartons ASHTON CONTAINERS Ltd 3 Oct 1973 [6 Oct 1972] 46177/72 Heading B8P A carton of solid or corrugated cardboard or of a plastic is folded from the blank shown in Fig. 1 to form a carton having cover portions 15, 24, extending from opposite pairs of side walls on which a superposed carton is stacked. Tongues 25 on covers 24 on walls 12 engage slots 35 at the junction of walls 11 and covers 15 and are locked by tabs 21 entering slits 28, see Fig. 2. Flaps 17 on covers 15 fold down over flaps 14 on side walls 11 and with walls 12 from a threethickness end wall. Portions 32 of covers 24 fold back beneath covers 24 and a tab 33 engages a slot 22.
