Abstract

1,121,020. Cartons. TILLOTSONS (LIVERPOOL) Ltd. 31 Aug., 1965 [2 Sept., 1964], No. 12872/68. Divided out of 1,120,863. Heading B8P. A tray-like carton having double thickness walls which slope outwardly from the base with diagonally hinged gussets 23, 24a between them is made from a blank in which the gussets are hinged to the ends of one pair of opposite outer wall panels 11 and separated from the ends of the other pair of opposite outer wall panels 13a by V-shaped notches, the said one pair of wall panels 11 and the gussets having a continuous longitudinal band of adhesive applied thereon. The inner wall panels 12 attached to the panels 11 have flaps 15 at their ends so shaped that when the panels 11 and 12 are overlapped, each flap 15 overlies part of the adhesive band on the gusset and prevents said part adhering to the adjacent wall panel 13a when the double wall 11, 12 is collapsed on to the base panel 10.
