Class 29 A refrigerated casing 6 has a loading door 26, in one vertical wall an air inlet 16 and an air outlet 17, a duct 24 leading from the inlet to a plenum chamber 23 beneath the floor of the casing, fan means 33 exterior to the casing withdrawing the air from the plenum chamber through the casing and the air outlet 17 and the air is cooled between the outlet and inlet to the casing by a refrigerator evaporator 34. The fan and refrigerating machine are contained in a housing 28 which may be hung from the side of the casing 6 or may be wheeled. The air leaves the plenum chamber through a slot 25 extending the width of the casing.
