Abstract

An open fronted refrigeration cabinet for displaying meat. Cold air streams, one at the top and one at the bottom, induce an air curtain acorss the front to reduce cold air losses. A refrigerating unit (17) draws air through a rear floor vent (23) and circulates the cold air through a front top opening (26). Another unit (28.1) draws from the centre floor vent (28) and circulates cold air through a bottom front opening (31.1). Further openings at top (11) and bottom (12) pass semi cold air between the inner (10) and outer (9) walls of the cabinet to reduce condensation and form an air curtain.
