Abstract

1,211,274. Refrigerators. INDUSTRIE A ZANUSSI S.p.A. 13 March, 1968 [21 March, 1967], No. 12274/68. Heading F4H. A fan 5 mounted on the bottom insulated wall 11 of a refrigerator cabinet 1 draws air through apertures (not shown) in the bottom wall of the machinery compartment and. discharges air over the compressor 4, the cabinet being positioned adjacent a wall 13 so that after leaving the compressor the air is constrained to flow vertically over the condenser 3 mounted on the rear wall 12 of the cabinet. 5 is preferably a tangential flow fan (Fig. 3, not shown) discharging an air stream of substantially rectangular cross-section, and may be thermostatically controlled so as to be energized concurrently with the compressor.
