Abstract

1303769 Refrigerating WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORP 19 April 1971 [25 March 1970] 24194/71 Heading F4H A combined refrigerator-freezer unit comprises a freezer compartment 2, a refrigerator compartment 4, an evaporator 28 and a main fan 30 in the freezer compartment; circulating air inlet 38 and outlet conduits 46 between the two said compartments; and auxiliary fan means 48 for drawing air through the inlet conduit to provide the chilling of articles placed in said refrigerator compartment adjacent the discharge of the fan means 48. Manually settable means, e.g. a timer are provided for controlling the length of each operation of the auxiliary fan independently of both the operation of the main fan and of temperature variations in the refrigerator compartment.
