Abstract

1,126,143. Refrigerators. GENERAL MOTORS CORP. 26 Jan., 1967 [14 Feb., 1966], No. 3885/67. Heading F4H. A refrigerator comprises a horizontal partition, a duct 44, an evaporator 38 in the duct, a drain pan 32 beneath the evaporator and spaced from the bottom wall of the duct to provide an air passage 46 and a fan 54 which draws air rearwardly over the evaporator, a portion of the air discharged by the fan being admitted via an aperture 50 to passage 46 to flow forwardly therethrough. It is stated that the latter flow of air prevents moisture from penetrating the insulation 48 of the duct.
