Abstract

767,891. Coiling slivers. STEINWANDT, O. [trading as MANN, MASCHINENFABRIK, C.]. March 3, 1955 [March 9, 1954], No. 6326/53. Class 120 (3). Sliver is deposited in a sliver can by a rotatable member carrying a pair of co-operating rollers and comprising a box-like casing having elements transmitting drive to the rollers. The member 1 is rotatably mounted in an aperture 1<SP>1</SP> in a support or frame 1<SP>11</SP> and has a toothed flange 2 engaging a driving wheel 3. Around the aperture 1<SP>1</SP> is provided a gear ring 4 engaged by a bevel gear 5 fixed on a shaft 6 journalled in the member 1. A gear or friction wheel 8 on the shaft 6 drives a parallel shaft. Each shaft carries a roller 7 urged against the other by a spring. The cam K may be rotated as described in Specification 767,070.
