886,409. Combing machines. SPINNEREIMASCHINENBAU KARL-MARX-STADT VEB. Dec. 23, 1958, No. 41514/58. Class 120(1) In order that the detaching rollers of a rectilinear combing machine may be temporarily stopped after their forward rotation, the roller driving arrangement includes a differential gear and crank mechanism. The detaching rollers 2, 3 are driven from the differential D through spur gearing. The main drive to the differential D is from a shaft 4 but the planet wheel carrier 5 is periodically moved by a lever system actuated through an eccentric 6 from a shaft 14 or by a crank on the shaft and so arranged that relative movement between levers 8, 12 to result in movement of the planet wheel carrier 5 only takes place periodically.
