Abstract

1,159,795. Toothed gearing. T.M.M. (RESEARCH) Ltd. 21 Oct., 1966 [22 Oct., 1965], No. 44884/65. Heading F2Q. A drive for the detaching rollers of a textile combing machine comprises a differential gear 13 having a planet gear 20 mounted on an eccentric 21 which is rotated at constant speed from an input shaft 22 through gears 23, 24, the planet gear also being oscillated by an arrangement of links 32, 33, 35. One end of link 32 is pivotally attached to a stub axle 31 mounted on a gear 29 which is driven at constant speed from drive shaft 22 through gears 23, 24, 26 and 27. The other end of link 32 is pivotally attached to one end of a link 33 whose other end is pivotally attached to a bracket 34 eccentrically mounted on planet gear 20. Link 35 is pivotally attached at one end to a point 37 adjacent the centre of link 32, and at its other end to a bracket 36 secured to the machine frame. Planet wheel 20 meshes an annulus 15 having external teeth 16 meshing a pinion 18 on a driven shaft 12. In a modification. oscillating linkwork is driven from an eccentric.
