Abstract

1,030,905. Manure spreaders. H. KREIENBAUM. Feb. 15, 1963 [Feb. 17, 1962], No. 6272/63. Heading A1D. A manure spreader comprises two spreading rollers 1 arranged with their axes vertical at the rear end of a conveyer, the rollers being formed by discs 4 connected by rods 5, mounted in a frame 6, and driven by bevel gearing 10, 11 from a shaft 12. A chankshaft 15 is mounted inside each roller and carries spikes 17 pivotally mounted by means of bearings 15, the rods 15 passing through slots in the spikes. The top of the crankshaft carries an internally toothed wheel 18 which meshes with the intermediate gear 19 that meshes with a pinion on the roller 1. By this means the crankshaft is rotated in the opposite direction to the roller and the spikes are advanced and withdrawn radially.
