839,334. Textile drafting apparatus. AMBLER SUPERDRAFT Ltd. June 24, 1958 [Aug. 8, 1957], No. 25044/57. Class 120(2) Drafting apparatus of the kind described in Specification 671,633 has one intermediate roller mounted so that it may be swung away from the other intermediate roller and provided with a gear 21 to mesh with an idler gear 20 mounted on a pivoted and spring-urged lever 25, 26. The lever 25, 26 is pivoted on a shaft 18 of a gear 17 continuously driven by a gear 15. When the gear 21 is brought into engagement with the rotating gear 20, failure to mesh is soon corrected by the resilient mounting of the gear 20 and the spring 28 holds the gears in mesh.
