918,334. Intermittent toothed gearing. HUBBARD, H. J., and MOLINS MACHINE CO. Ltd. Sept. 23, 1960 [Sept. 25, 1959], No. 32649/59. Class 80 (1). A Geneva mechanism comprises a driving disc 1 slidable on a shaft 7 to a position in which a roller 2 thereon engages a Geneva cross 4, the disc being shifted axially by a lever 9 which is pivoted at 10, has a roller 9A engaging a cam groove 12 of a cam which is geared to the driving shaft 7, and the free end of the lever being fitted with a roller 9B engaging a groove 13 in an extension of the driving disc. A locking disc 15 is fast with the disc 1 and coacts with recesses in the periphery of the Geneva cross to lock it in position when the driving disc 1 is in its disengaged position. The Provisional Specification refers to cigar packing apparatus.
