Abstract

958,262. Positive clutches. COTTON, SILK & MAN-MADE FIBRES RESEARCH ASSOCIATION. July 25, 1962 [July 29, 1961], No. 27606/61. Heading F2C. [Also in Division D1] In a device for piecing broken threads in a textile machine, in order to rotate the piecing parts A, B, C to a piecing-position and then back to starting position, they are coupled to a rocking shaft 24 by a clutch comprising a loose pinion 25 and a solenoid 28, which when energized through the occurrence of the break ejects a radial pin against the surface of the shaft, so that when the shaft reaches the end of the anti-clockwise part of its movement, the pin engages a key-way 27 in the shaft.
