917,978. Securing bobbins on shafts. T.M.M. (RESEARCH) Ltd. May 4, 1961 [July 4, 1960], No. 23330/60. Class 80 (2). A self - tightening coupling for securing a bobbin to a spindle 11 comprises friction shoes 13 carried partly in recesses in a cam 142 freely rotatable on the spindle 11 and partly in recesses in a housing- member 12 fast with the spindle 11, which shoes 13 are moved radially out into driving engagement with the bobbin by wedging rollers 15 on relative rotation between the shoes 13 and cam 142. Specification 744,226 is referred to.
