Abstract

1298610 Clutch-brake combinations CELANESE CORP 21 Dec 1970 [30 Dec 1969] 60502/70 Heading F2L [Also in Division D1] Cams 28 drivable by a common shaft 36 may be individually clutched thereto or declutched therefrom by means of a roller 59, pivotable about the axis of a control shaft 50, engaging a surface 60 of the cam hub and moving the cam axially along the shaft out of engagement with a clutch-plate 48 fixed to the shaft, against the action of a spring 44. Further rotation of the shaft 50 brings a brake pad 61 into engagement with the surface 60 to stop rotation of the cam.
