Abstract

781,746. Coupling drafting rollers. VEB SPINNEREIMASCHINENBAU KARLMARX-STADT. Nov. 18, 1955, No. 33082/55. Class 120(2) [Also in Group XXIV] A shaft comprising. parts secured together or similarly connected, has means at the end remote from the drive end to produce a braking torque to prevent the parts becoming unscrewed. In a drawing frame the bottom rollers 1 which are screwed together, Fig. 2, or coupled by a helical spring 9, Fig. 3, frictionally engaging the female part of roller 1, are driven by gears 4 and have braking springs 6 at the ends remote from the driving gears. In modifications, the braking torque is produced by idler gears, or the first shaft may be driven from one end and drive the second shaft from the other end.
